NERVE ZERO (Ex One Too Many) is a South African based 5 piece Alternative/Hard Rock/Metal (call it what you will) band that are NO strangers to the music industry. All are seasoned musicians & formed NERVE ZERO in 2007.
Band Members, Kevin (Lead) and Bronze (Guitar) both hail from metal legends GUTTED REMAINS (Circa 1995-2001). Marc (vocals) has been involved in many projects & bands and was lead vocalist in commercial rock band "SPANK". Dave (Bass) has been involved in cover band projects. Original drummer, Graeme Swale left N.Z. to pursue a career with Wake To Wonder. Dean Barrett has since been recruited to fill Graeme's Shoes on the drums and so the story continues...
The band vowed to themselves that they would not rush their song writing and preparations to hit the stage. Instead they took their time & thus two years later, have finally decided to start recording & gig at SELECT venues, thus not to be over exposed as so many other local bands fall prey to.
The name NERVE ZERO was changed from One Too Many (R.I.P.).
The term, Nerve Zero is the pair of cranial nerve fibres in the brain that detects sexual pheromones and is known as the "SEX SENSE", which is the secret to our subliminal sexual attraction.
Nerve Zero are ready to show the country a no nonsense, balls to the wall style of Hard Rock/metal rarely heard anymore. With good doses of old school metal & nuances of "Nu-metal", NERVE ZERO will definitely appeal to most people who can handle their Rock N Roll with a dose of LOUDNESS!
NERVE ZERO make no bones that they are not in this for fame & fortune. They are going to do this IN THEIR OWN TIME...IN THEIR OWN WAY! The band is eager to get back on stage and showcase their months of hard work, sweating away in a rehearsal room. They will bombard fans with slick, refined Hard rock that any die hard "Head banger" will enjoy as well as a more commercial orientated fan.
Their debut single "HUMPTY DUMPTY" is a radio friendly Rocker that is already gaining an underground following amongst new fans. As you will see, NERVE ZERO are able to entice fans with toe tapping tracks that your mother in law would approve of (God forbid), but can also smack you dead center in the face with a hard brand of metal that will leave you rather "gobsmacked".
All in all, NERVE ZERO have arrived and South African Extreme music will never be the same again.....
