The Irish Club was officially opened by the Irish Ambassador Brian Muldoon on 2nd November 2002.
The club went under New Management on the 28th July 2008 by Mick and Vera Desmond
And since, the club has been a huge success having hosted a Fleidh Ceoil and hosted many St Paddies Day celebrations. Friday & Saturday nights have become exceptionally popular as local trade Irish.
Every Wednesday night we have a trivial quiz evening, and darts league on Tuesdays. And every Sunday is a bring and braai.
And indeed those not lucky enough to be graced with Irish fortune are encouraged to come in and enjoy a bit of \"caint craic agus ceoil\" (conversation, fun and music) as well as the best pint of Guinness in town.
The Irish Club is always welcoming to anyone who wants to come and socialise, relax and have a good pint.
